CCM Prospects Game Teleconference

Fans can tune in to a media teleconference previewing the 2013 CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game, which will be played Thursday (Sept. 26) at CONSOL Energy Center, home of the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins.

The CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game will feature 40 top American prospects eligible for the 2014 National Hockey League Entry Draft ... Head coaches Mark Johnson and Joe Mullen each played for the Pittsburgh Penguins and are members of the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame ... Johnson led the "Miracle on Ice" 1980 U.S. Olympic Men's Team in scoring en route to the gold medal in Lake Placid, N.Y. In 2010, he was head coach of the U.S. Olympic Women's Ice Hockey Team that earned the silver medal in Vancouver, B.C. Currently, Johnson is head coach of the University of Wisconsin women's ice hockey team, which he has guided to four NCAA national titles ... Mullen was the first American to record 500 career goals and 1,000 career points in the NHL. During his 17-year NHL career he won three Stanley Cups (Calgary-1989; Pittsburgh-'91, '92). He is entering his seventh season as an assistant coach of the Philadelphia Flyers. He also served as a Penguins assistant coach for parts of six seasons (2000-06) ... Players selected to compete in the CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game were chosen by USA Hockey in conjunction with NHL Central Scouting ... Thirteen states are represented on the roster. Minnesota leads the way with nine, while New York is second with five. California, Illinois and Michigan have four apiece. Other states include Colorado, Massachusetts, Maryland, Missouri, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
