COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey announced today that U.S. hockey icons Jeremy Roenick and Robert Esche will serve as guest coaches at the 2025 Chipotle All-American Game at USA Hockey Arena on Jan. 16. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised on NHL Network. Tickets are available for purchase here.

The contest features the top NHL draft-eligible players from the U.S. Under-18 National Team of USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program, and other teams in United States Hockey League, the nation’s only Tier 1 junior hockey league. The players will be split into two teams from among those selected for the competition.

Since the inaugural event in 2012, a total of 321 Chipotle All-American Game participants have been chosen in the NHL Draft, including 70 first round picks. 

A 2024 Hockey Hall of Fame inductee and U.S. Hockey Hall of Famer, Roenick played 20 seasons in the NHL from 1988-2009, amassing 1216 points (513g, 703a) in 1363 career regular season games as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks, Phoenix Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings, and San Jose Sharks. A two-time Olympian, the forward also played internationally for Team USA at the IIHF Men’s World Championship and the IIHF World Junior Championship. The Massachusetts native will serve as the honorary coach of Team Blue at the 2025 Chipotle All-American Game.

Esche played eight years in the NHL for the Phoenix Coyotes and Philadelphia Flyers from 1998-2007. The goaltender also represented the U.S. on the international stage on numerous occasions, including in the Olympic Winter Games, World Cup of Hockey, IIHF Men’s World Championship and IIHF World Junior Championship. The New York native currently serves as president of the American Hockey League’s Utica Comets. He will serve as the honorary coach of Team White at the 2025 Chipotle All-American Game.
