The 2024 Chipotle All-American Game takes place this afternoon at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan. Puck drop is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET. Tickets for the game are available here.
USA Hockey Arena will host 45 players hopeful to hear their names called at the NHL Draft in June as nearly 200 scouts from 28 different NHL teams in attendance look on. Tonight’s game serves as an important benchmark for evaluators, providing the opportunity to see how players perform against the best competition in their age group. In total, 63 first round draft picks and 292 players who have participated in the event have been selected in the NHL Draft since the game’s debut in 2012.
Rosters are made up of players from the U.S. National Under-18 Team of USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program and the United States Hockey League, the lone Tier I junior league in the United States.
Tonight’s game also represents and celebrates youth programs across the country. The 45 players participating hail from 15 different states. Minnesota leads the way 11 representatives, followed by Illinois with six and Massachusetts with five. California and Michigan each have four.
All 45 players competing in tonight's game are committed to NCAA programs. The University of Denver leads the way with six commits, followed by the University of Michigan and the University of North Dakota with five apiece. Boston College, Boston University, Michigan State University, and Providence College all follow closely behind, with each having three commits.
Fans can tune in to NHL Network at 4:00 pm ET for a live broadcast. E.J. Hradek, Craig Button and Jon Morosi will be featured on the call live from USA Hockey Arena.
